Welcome to Mount Barker Primary School. Together our teachers, leaders, support staff, students and parents are committed to creating a community of successful learners. We are a diverse, inclusive and highly collaborative community focused on ensuring our students are challenged, supported and encouraged to reach their goals.
Mount Barker Primary School students focus on their learning dispositions. Successful learners are creative, collaborative risk takers who are persistent, ask questions and are self-regulated. Throughout the year, we work with our students to develop their understanding of the learning dispositions.
Our students are encouraged to model our school values of respect, responsibility and resilience. Success is measured in many different ways at Mount Barker Primary School - through academic achievement and demonstration of our dispositions and school values. Our goal is to create passionate and innovative learners who are equipped to face the challenges of the 21st century. We encourage our students to be resourceful, adaptable and prepared for the next steps in their learning journeys.
Our enthusiastic teachers work collaboratively to create high quality teaching and learning experiences that are engaging and challenging. Through close analysis of data, teachers capture where each student is currently operating and then plan the strategies and steps for learning success. We share the data with our students, encouraging them to set goals and take responsibility for their learning.
I encourage you to visit our school to observe our community of successful learners in action and to discuss enrolment opportunities.
