The purpose of our transition program is to familiarise your child with our school and introduce them to their class teacher and classroom environment. We aim to work together to ensure transition is an exciting and positive experience for all those involved.
In relation to kindergarten students we believe a smooth and gradual transition from pre-school to their foundation year at school is a vital factor in ensuring your child has a successful start to school life. For new students that are going into years 1-6 in 2024 we will organise a session for them to visit their new class and teacher towards the end of term 4. For 2024 starters full enrolment packs are available for completion from term 3 onwards. Transition visits will take place on a Friday morning.
We accept enrolments throughout the year and work with individual families to ascertain the best way to welcome students to our community. We can do this through gentle staggered starts if required. Please contact the front office for further enrolment details.
PLEASE NOTE THE SCHOOLS IN MOUNT BARKER ARE NOT ZONED AND WE WELCOME ENROLMENTS FROM ACROSS OUR LOCAL AREA.
