Dear Families,
As Chairperson of the Governing Council, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to our school community. Mount Barker Primary is an inclusive school focused on ensuring each child is valued and supported, through creating a positive and empowering learning environment. Our school leadership, teachers and support staff all represent the shared focus of our school, which the Governing Council is proud to support.
Being a part of the council has been an enjoyable experience personally, and I am proud to be a positive representative of our school. It has been rewarding to see the collaboration between the council and the school leadership to continue to positively impact our school community and direction.
As a parent, I understand the importance of actively participating in my children’s education. Joining the Governing Council provides parents and carers with an opportunity to engage in their children’s education and contribute their valuable insights, perspectives, and ideas. It is an avenue for parents and carers to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of our school and ensuring it continues to thrive. I encourage all parents and carers to consider joining the Governing Council. Together we can continue to ensure every child feels valued, supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
