Around School

The school day commences at 8:50 am and is signaled by the bell ringing.  The first bell reminds students to make their way to class and the second bell signals that students should be in class ready for the teacher to complete the roll book.  If you arrive at school after 8:50 am please call into the front Admin Office to sign your child in and get a late slip.

Recess play is 10:50 am until 11:10 am and lunch play is 12:50 pm until 1:30 pm.

We are pleased to be working in partnership with Hillbilly Chicken in Mount Barker to offer our students a lunch option on a Thursday.

The lunch menu takes into consideration the Department of Education's national 'Right Bite' strategy to encourage healthy eating.

At Mount Barker Primary School the Governing Council have chosen to endorse our school uniform as it creates a shared identity for our students.  We strive to ensure students experience a sense of belonging encourage and feel proud to be enrolled at Mount Barker Primary.  Wearing a uniform unites us as a community of successful learners.

In the admin office we hold a number of pre-loved uniforms.  These items are clean and in good condition.  We offer these to families for a gold coin donation.

Lost property can be found in the admin office area.  If your child has lost a hat or jumper they can often be found in the specialist classroom areas - LOTE, Drama or PE, so it is worth having a look there too.
